2012 brake squeaks?
I have about 750 miles and 6 weeks on my 2012 CLS63. About a week ago I started noticing a low level squeaking from the breaks at low speeds right before stop. Its not a high pitch sound like one hears when pads are starting to go but more like a steel on steel bad lubrication sound. Anyone else have a similar problem? I know I should just take it the dealer but I just had it there 2 weeks ago for a tire replace as a result of a nail through my sidewall and am trying to avoid an additional visit before my 1875 LSD fluid change. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Brake squeaks sometimes are normal and come and go. I had race brake pads on my Brembo's (other car) and they squeaked like crazy. That was normal due to the aggressive compound. I put street pads on and it went away, sometimes the squeak will come and go.
Another solution might be to get the car up to a good speed and apply strong brake force. Do this a few times and it should get rid of the squeak. Of course to it in a safe and isolated area.
