The KW system is for the later models with steel springs up front. Your car, the 219, runs airmatic all the way around. You can get lowering modules from Renntech, Kleemann, etc but this kit will not work.

Correct. Thanks.

This kit is advertised for the '12 CLS63 with spring/shock up front and air in the rear... Also works on a few other models that share similar setup.

And 20mm is only 8/10ths of an inch--- I dropped mine probably closer to 40mm.

The attached thumbnail is post lowering. The picture in my signature line is pre lowering. I will try to get some better shots during the day tomorrow. Close ups will give you a better idea of what the 20 mm drop looks like. I can't see going lower than 20mm if you live in the northeast given road conditions but if I lived in cali or south Florida I would be slammed like Vic's car.

Quick question for others who have this mod. Does anyone know if there are shims or camber plates available to adjust for the camber change from the drop? The installer said he was going to look for some and that I had a little bit of camber change even after the alignment for the drop that would give me some inside accelerated tire wear. He said that other brands typically have after market solutions to adjust for this (my shop does mostly BMW work).

Whats funny is Im actually not what one would called "slammed" here in Cali. My fenders are about are about 1/2 fingers width from the tires. I maintained some good function along with form. But I am witnessing inner tire wear in the rears. Oh well you gotta pay to play.

Well by Philly/NYC standards you would be slammed or at least when you hit your first pothole.

On the tire wear, looks like there was a camber kit for the C219 CLS available from several companies...hopefully there will be one coming out for the C218 as well.

As long as I can get at least 6K miles out of my rear tires I can handle the negative camber. It improves handling anyhow even if it shreds tires.

Im just gonna get my Toe set so I can make sure no scrubbing... often toe is the true culprit in tire wear.

Where do you go for your alignment? would they know you would need you Toe set or you have to tell them?

West End Alignment or if Im down South, Beckers ---- they will know for sure. But not every layman understands that toe leads to more tirewear than camber.
