In The Club!! 2013 Ordered...Change Color?
Hey Guys, I finally decided to sell my 2005 E55 and move on to Mercedes latest and greatest. We put the car in the system a couple of days ago and I am told to expect a July delivery. I am 100% positive on everything I included, except the color. Right now it is in as Palladium Silver but I have gone back and forth with two other colors. I'm told they can still change this in the system if I do something soon. Any comments about the three colors below would be appreciated.
My car will have:
Indium Grey
Steel Grey
My car will have:
- Premium One Package
- P30 AMG Performance Package
- 471 Limited Slip Differential
- 19" Forged Twin 5-Spoke Wheels
- CF Trunklip Spoiler
- Ash/Black Premium Leather
- Piano Black Laquer Wood Trim
- Rear Side Air-Bags
- Palladium Silver (for now)
Indium Grey
Steel Grey

Color first, accessories second Rock
Not saying the silvers are bad but the Steel Gray is just so damn great and its a new color for 2013 too.

Congrats on your new order!
My 2 cents: I'm not crazy about these blue gray but they are new and I could get us to it. Palladium is classic and beautiful but there's a lot of cars in the streets with a similar color. Indium is quite unique and doesn't get unnoticed : love it or hate it. You may also want to consider diamond white ( or cashmere white if you're willing to wait ). I am not a fan of white cars but this one looks great in white. My personal favorite is black...can't help myself, she looks so mean and stunning in black although it's a common color.
Hope it helps!

Hey Happy, thanks for the reply. I agree that black does look great but it seems that 50% of the CLS63s are black. I already have one black car so I was looking for something a little different.
So did Cory flash your ECU and did you notice much of a difference since you already started with the PP? I spoke to him about a month ago and he told me he has done a few of the new 63s. I am interested to get your impression of this modification.
Edit: Do you have your CLS63 yet? Also, I noticed that the K1 was on your C63........ sorry I get confused by commas.

2005 E55 drowned/ 2011 CTS-v coupe gone/ 2012 E63 PP,LSD finally here
actually I like that the steel gray and carbon fiber deck lid spoiler don't have too much contrast, it almost looks like it's the body color and then when you see it up close you see that it's carbon fiber, it's subtle [IMG][/IMG]

Is pricing significantly different for the 2013 model? Still awaiting delivery of a 2012 cls 63 (ordered in November) and wondering if I should just cancel and order a 2013 if they are delivering in July. Doesn't sound like the styling/options have changed too much other than exterior paint and sound system.

^ If you do not have your car by now, you may consider canceling the order and getting a 2013. It does not sound like there will be a price increase but they do expect the residuals to be higher (if leasing). I received a nice discount on the 2013, so I would hope you could do even better on a 2012.

It's a little hard to tell from the lighting, but boy that Indium Grey looks interesting...
P-silver - classic
I-grey - subtle, but different
S-grey - blue/grey, pretty noticeably different
Just depends on what style you're looking for.
Bright, non-metallic white would look great too, as mentioned earlier... just to further muddy the water.

I would go with the Steel Grey. I also have a 2013 on order and I went with Black (but all of my daily drivers are Black). My wife's E550 Coupe is Steel Grey and the color looks great........also much easier than Black to take care of. You will get lots of compliments on the Steel Grey! Good luck.

The dealership that I am getting the car from moves a lot of AMGs and the manager told me that he heard it from Mercedes....... so take what I said with grain of salt.
