I dont know about "much" slower as it is just one reporting but C and D also showed the CLS to be slower than the GC at higher speeds (0-130 was 1/2 second quicker and that was from a dig). The transmission and rwd vs AWD definitely play the major role here. RWD has less parasitic loss vs AWD.

Im not shocked though, the dual clutch is so efficient in power delivery vs the planetary MCT.

4-matic for sure will be slower.

vic, i don't know about DCT & MCT power delivery loss that much.

but on same dyno both on 4th gear

CLS63 Performance package stock 465rwhp (557hp crank)
M5 stock 452rwhp - 460rwhp (560hp crank)

On our local dyno:

M5 538 hp
E63PP 501hp

The DCT also shifts faster...
