Anybody install an Iluminated Star on CLS63?
Yes, some think it's tacky...others like the bling. I bought a lighted star (p/n BQ6880127) for my '13 CLS63. Dealer says his instructions tell him the star is not compatible with CLS63s because of the SAMS unit. Has anybody installed the star specifically on a W218 CLS63 (as opposed to a CLS550)? Thanks, PJ

Wow! This illuminated star thing really rubs some of us the wrong way. Anybody wanting to help me hook this sucker up, just PM me so as not to expose your identity and become the target of ridicule. SLK55 and his followers are probably the same guys who thought Sprewell wheel "spinners" and Buick-style three-hole fake hood vents sucked too. The haters were wrong then and they're wrong about the "star." Are you with me? Yeah, baby! PJ

I like it too and planning to buy it. Was just waiting for someone to install it on an M157 platform.
MB advertised it as compatible on the CLS and you can order it on a 14 so your dealer is full of it. There is someone on the forum who installed it without plugging it in thru the MB system and had a remote that allowed him to do what he wanted. Find someone local that knows how to work on MBs and it should be pretty simple to install.

Called MB customer service. They are researching the application for the W218 CLS63 and will get back to me. I will let you know the outcome. PJ
