is anyone planning on a facelift for their current w218 AMG? Please share your experience. :D

I have bought the rear bumper of face-lift model for my 2012 CLS63. Does it require the tail light upgrade too? Please share your experience.

If you see the facelift in live you would charge your mind. It's amazing.

You would be better off selling your car and buying a new one.
It will be incredibly expensive to update the front (hood, lights, bumper) and it will devalue your car.
I would not recommend it.

I prefer the 2012 look myself, but hey, more power to you...
the refresh looks great IMO, very sleek

i replaced the front bumper and side skirts of my cls350 2012 model with the facelift ones.
fitment 100%. i am now planning to replace the rear bumper. wondering if the diffuser needs replacement as well

Thanks for sharing your experience! I wonder if the facelift headlights would fit the 2012 models? They look so much cooler!!!

I have the rear AMG bumper and diffusor fits but with some cutting. The sides of the diffusor are a bit shorter. I would get a new diffusor it doesn't cost much. It might be a different situation with CLS350 models. On the top of it I believe you must change the tail lights too. There is a same problem as it is with upgrading the 2012 w212 to facelift version. There is a gap between tail lights and the bumper.

you can find some cheap parts in Poland in you live in Europe try Allegro pl web site

drantispy 08-06-2015 05:40 AM

Thanks a lot for sharing this.
Do you have any images of the rear tail lights gap ?

radicalrev 08-07-2015 09:36 PM

Would love to see if the face-lifted headlights can be plug and play with the existing wiring and if fitment is on point without changing the front bumper.

wasupdu 08-07-2015 10:26 PM

Apparently I'm in the minority here, but I love the fact that the "old headlights" distinguish the CLS compared to the new style that makes the C, E, CLS and S blend together. Am I crazy?

hyperion667 08-07-2015 11:03 PM

^no, not crazy :)
I prefer them as well......
they were the worlds first all LED headlamps too if I recall

Sweet very nice!

How did you deal with led light in the prefacelift bumper? If you remove them, dont you end up with an error message?

Looks really good!

drantispy 08-15-2015 04:37 PM

Thanks. Added a 50w 60ohms resistor on both sides. No error messages. Sideskirts are from cls63amg perfect fit as well

hyperion667 08-15-2015 05:02 PM

looks clean......I like my LED's :)

drantispy 08-16-2015 01:46 AM

Thanks,

Any reason you chose the Amg style front instead of the Amg Modell front though?

drantispy 08-16-2015 03:11 AM

It is the original amg model specific cls350 2015 bumper. Since my car is not cls63 amg i prefer to have it oem look instead of something that its not.

hyperion667 08-16-2015 07:58 AM

^good man!

I just noticed there are no side markers either :)

KLR CLS 08-18-2015 06:27 PM

How much are the side skirts? Did you get parts from the dealer directly?

drantispy 08-19-2015 09:33 AM

got all parts directly from the dealer
cost of side skirts and alum trim 900 euro
