2012 CLS63 transmission leak/smoking
Hey everyone!
I purchased a 2012 CLS63 recently, and most everything was working tip top at first. A few months in after a couple hard runs and trying out launch control, I had a pretty big issue. I pulled up to a stop light and huge billowing clouds of smoke were coming out from the front fenders and the front of the car. I had just had my oil changed, so I took it to my private mechanic. He pulled the cover off and said it wasn't leaking oil, but an external trans pump that sits right between the exhaust pipes was leaking and spraying ATF on the exhaust under hard shifting. Ordered the seals, changed them last night and it's still leaking from somewhere causing the same horrible issue. If I drive the car under 2500rpm, there's almost no issue at all. But as soon as I get on it even a little hard it starts smoking. Any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance!
