Weird rattle noise in engine
Hi fellas i have a weird annoying rattle noise i keep getting on start ups and i already tried changing the chain tensioner and the problem still exists maybe someone can help me diagnose this rattle

99 E 300TD, 02 E320, 2013 ML350
That definitely sounds like a camshaft adjuster. When the tensioners go bad the noise will be faster and a little longer usually. While you were in there did you at least put the new check valves in if they weren't already installed in the cylinder heads? Is the CEL on?
