need help and advice for my tuned cls63

Dynapack
Hi guys,

I have a tuned cls63 right hand drive with weistec w3 upgraded turbo, WMI, upgraded trans, lsd, HKS sparkplugs and airfilter. I wonder why my car is still not a good contender for a stage 2 car m5 and cls w218 with downpipe and ecu tuning. I have a dyno to share.

I just picked up the same car. Previously had an 06 CLS55 with all the goodies on it. About to tune my 63 and still debating on Weistec or Eurocharged. If I had all that work done and the shop handed me a dyno sheet like that, I'd be pretty pissed. Those numbers don't jive with all the mods that were supposedly installed by your tuner. Take that thing back. Cant speak from experience, but I'm sure those reading your post who have also had tune AND turbo work will agree that something's up. Im sure someone can provide you with better guidance. Good luck. Hope it puts out more power soon.

The turbos in addition to the time should have been enough for 630HP by itself without the others components. Depending on how your water methanol injection is ran I’ve seen my buddies make 50 - 100HP with that also. Bottom line is these guys screwed you and need to have a sit down with management.

What do you think about the graph from the dyno result? In my opinion the torque output is ok but the hp is kind of low. I have had lots of retuning but it just cant get it above 600whp (lots of dyno run too). Do you think the problem is the tuning program or any else?

But even if you got it to 630whp thats still what the m157 does on stock turbos with just a tune and downpipes.

with upgraded turbos you should be around 700whp+

Do you know anyone that would like to take some time in reviewing my data log containing psi and afr? In regards to how every tuner sets their own tuning, mine is at 1.4bar

I’m looking at your dyno sheet and the number look suspect to me and here’s why. I have a CLS63 2014 AWD which loses more HP on the dyno than RWD. My car has nothing other than a tune and I’m still putting down 584hp with 696tq. With turbos your numbers should be blowing mine clean out the water. I would definitely assume that it’s the tune. If you want the most aggressive tune i would recommend Euro Charged. I decided to roll with Renntech because it doesn’t void my warranty. My friend has a 2015 CLS63 AWD that’s putting down 630hp and 750tq. He has air filters and a tune so I would say you definitely have a problem.

Wow man, “scratching my head”. I’m not sure what the deal is if your ECU was flashed by Eurocharged. This is something that will have to be picked a part by a master tuner/technician. If you have a reputable shop there I would have them to go through everything with I fine tooth comb. Even the serial number on the turbos to make sure all the hardware is what it’s suppose to be. Especially with the water methonol system because if the line are wrong coming off the pump on the tank the system will not perform properly and possibly grounds for detonation. But that’s all I can think of seeing how you have already retuned the car multiple times with little to no results. For what it’s worth I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this madness knowing that you’ve paid top dollar for premium service. You’ll just have to put your foot down and be firm with these guys because you want results NOT excuses.

Maybe try asking weistec about this since the turbos you are running are from them, maybe they would be the most fit for tuning them?

When was the last time spark plugs were replaced? was the gap set correctly? whats the mileage of the car? or just maybe try a different dyno. It may or may not be a tune, maybe eurocharged can help or give some ideas to what the issue might be.
