14' cls550 dealership service ???
My car overheated a few nights ago and the dealership says there is a leak in the lower radiator hose. They want almost $700 to replace it. I just had it in there last month for the 50,000 mile checkup. Flying colors!!! Except the low air pressure & empty wiper fluid lights that are on a few days later... anyway, I asked for a pic of the leak and they then came back at me that it was actually a "bad crimp in the hose clamp". They offered to split the $700 fee, them cover the hose cost & I cover the labor of $440.

Seems fishy to me. Why would they suddenly offer to help pay?? Do you have an indy shop nearby somewhere to get a second opinion? What if they do that work and it still overheats?

Definitely sounds like BS I have a good friend who was a head service advisor at MB he warned me about a lot of the lies. On your check ups a lot of techs will just check everything off as good without checking. I wouldn't be surprised if your problem is something smaller and they are trying to get money out of you. I would definitely take it elsewhere
