Preventative Maintenance Cam Sensors

I've decided to replace the 4 cam sensors before they eventually start leaking and create an even bigger problem. I was told once they start leaking its best to replace the sensors and then sell the car as the problem will eventually make its way the ECM, 7k to replace.

Anyone do the same?

$7K to replace what? Folks are buying 2nd ECU’s for tuning purposes for like $4-500.

Im changing my air filters this weekend and will check the sensors. Should’ve gone ahead on bought the sensors as I’m sure they’ll be needed at some point.

Just what the dealer told me, still cheaper fix it before it cost more money and time.

Why would you sell the car if the sensors start to leak just replace them and clean the wiring for a couple hundred bucks lol. The only time it'll be a $7k repair is if the oil gets thru the entire wiring harness and into the ecu and injectors then the motor needs to come out to replace the wiring harness.

2013 CLS63 AMG P30 EuroCharged Tuned; 2005 Dodge Viper Supercharged - 850 HP:
My car is not misfiring but it has rough idle condition. While stationery, the car shudders/shakes with consistent periodicity. It is not really that bad but still noticeable.

After reading this thread, I checked the sensors and they all had oil in them. I have replaced all four of them but the rough idle condition is still there.

I haven't replaced the spark plugs yet. That's next on the list.

Any other ideas or what to look for?
