Why do some stock CLS63's have different wheels?

Hello guys, I am new to this forum and am looking to purchase a CLS 63 in the next week or two. I have been lurking on these boards for the last 2 weeks and I appreciate all the positive information I have received from the members. I do have a question, why do most CLS63's have a certain stock wheel while others have another type(similar to the one on the E63's? I really prefer to have the one that looks more like the E but cant seem to find any. Thanks in advance, and I will post pics as soon as I make my purchase!

You name it i've had it or got it...
that would be because the one with the wheels like the e55 are actually a cls500 or cls550 with the sport package. the 63's don't come with those wheels.

OP was referring to the E63 wheels not the double spoke E55.

The different wheels you see is due to some people choosing the 030 track option on their CLS63 and others not.

See thats why I love this board already, that was a quick response, and now I know why I cant find these wheels on preowned cls63's. Most dont have the 030 option. Thanks Carl

The oem 030 wheels are expensive and i think are sized for 19 x 8.5 (front) and 19 x 9.5 in the rear.

the alternative is if you dont mind the rim not saying "amg" you can get the TSW Bremma wheels. going the bremma wheels you can get a larger rim and a wider lip in the rear 20 X 10 and 20 x 9 for the front and get a little better than stock look.

This is My dilemma i want the rim to have the amg logo but i also want it to have a deeper lip in the rear. And have it chrome plated either black chrome or chrome.

What is black chrome, is that the same as gun metal look?? And I will look at the tsw wheels, I dont care to much for the logo on the wheels, the rest of the car is enough to know its an AMG. thanks

Google the black chrome , and you'll see. It's not as bright as the chrome, it has a small amount of dark tint to it. f.y.i. i believe with the 20 x 10 rear rim we can have a 2.5 inch rear lip (i believe)
. You are right about the amg being everywhere, (on all 4 tail pipes, rear decklid, seats, door sills, license plate, instruments... )

the gunmetal which is seen on the other cars , is more of a dark grey paint with a machined lip. The 030 is a bright satin/brilliant silver finish. i believe they are the same wheel though. i could be wrong.

im still undecided.

I have this, it is called the 030 performance package, Limited Slip, Bigger Brakes, Better Rims and let's not forget the cool steering wheel and different 190mph limiter than the 155 you guys normally enjoy.

a great looking black beast with the 030. What's up--no parktronic or keyless?

Love the look, but i wish mb would have a nice lip on the rear wheel.

Hence the tsw bremma without amg logos.
