thanks for asking .. I thought the forwarding remained stopped in Paris where it was yesterday, till tomorrow ..
indeed, just checked the track info and I see it just arrived in Italy ...
but now it must pass our custom ..
not easy game ... if you consider that american banks took one week for clearing of funds
Now, more than excited , I'm really stressed
if ok, on tuesday-wed I could go to the installer with the things and
... plug 'em in ... and ..

on the previous page I already answered similar questions.
a few months ago when I asked for somebody else they were not really enthusiast of doing again that thing and told me something high.
maybe if needed sets are at least 4-5 ..each could be a bit less than one thousand in $.
lights are obviously from MB

I bought my set from http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-MERCEDES-C...item588c6595df
Upon arrival, one of them had chipped plastic on the sharp corners and they replaced it immediately.
Now, how to get them to fit is another story :P

+1. Very interested in upgrading my 2007 taillights to the LED version. I've read through this thread a couple times and I guess I still don't understand what exactly is the most cost effective way to do this project.

From what ive read on this forum and everywhere else it seems like you need resistors for the tail lights otherwise they wont work. Ive googled resistors and led tail lights and they seem to say that the resistors are for the turn signals usually. I see people do it on lexus a lot and they use 6ohm 50W resistors. I wonder why this guy who did the swap wont tell us what kind of resistors were used and if it was just for the signal lights or for more then that. Ive also seen people saying that you have to use STAR to turn on the LED feature in the sam and that will do it. (this was for a benz GL suv so i dont know if the rear sams have the same feature on the CLS) Any mercedes people here know?

... really I didn't go for the most effective way:
- as MB still had not officially released these, contacted Shenfenaker/odelo when they had just been advertised
- paid for a new pair of tail lights to their italian distributor but got the wrong, old, model
- waited for a few more months and bought a new pair of the new version from german dealership (who advised me they were for a different car than my cls55 !!)
- gave them to my italian dealership to try installation
- I agreed to buy and try fitting new SAM, new cables ... a pair of weeks and further money lost
- found an electrotechnical engineer and asked him to come to a private shop for studying the thing ..
- after one week of work I had them done
hope it's clear enough.

And the mail problem here seems to get an answer on WHAT resistors to use? I will try this on my CLS. Anyone thougt of leaving the original lightbord intact and just wire from it to the new one and leav the bulds in place? Should that not work?
