[DIY] CLS63 brake pad change

I just bought some new brake pads for the front brakes. Does anyone have step by step instructions on how to change out the front brake pads on a cls63? Any help would be great! Id rather save my money instead of paying someone.

Brake pads

I want to change my front and rear brake pads also. I notice that nobody chime in to your question. Maybe you can help me.

Where did you get your brake pads?
How much did you spend?
Did you run into any problems?

Thanks in advance!!!

.
Doing the pads is pretty easy on these cars. First disconnect the SBC. There is a box with a lever on it under the hood, located behind the passenger side headlight.

There are 2 pins ontop of the caliper that secure the pads. Knock the pins out using a hammer and something that will fit in the hole.

Put flathead screwdriver between the pad and rotor and push the piston back. Remove old pads

Don't forget to use some anti-squeak paste on the new pads before installing.

Just FYI, sending people PM's doesn't exactly help others who come onto this forum looking for information on how-to's, instructions, etc. This thread, for example, is completely useless aside from the link that AK63 posted.

Anyone know of a good method to remove the actual caliper? I'm having a mother of a time getting the 2 massive 13/16 bolts off....

**Nevermind, got em 13/16 socket on a 1/2" ratchet, and a hammer did the trick!
