Dilemma! Owning CLS55 w/out warranty?!?
I've found the perfect cls55 for myself.
The miles are below 25k and it is priced right. The car is in flawless condition.
HOWEVER, because it has Kleemann 168 pulley and tune as well as headers I will be unable to put a warranty on it.
I'm very apprehensive about owning a car with such potentialy expensive repairs without a warranty. In my area there is no such thing as a high end indy shop so pretty much all work will be done at stealership rates.
Should I take the chance?
Thanks so much for the help here guys!

Buying used CLS 55
Are u buying the car through a Bank or Credit Union ,, most Credit Unions offer. aftermarket warranty and some banks. It a way of insuring they investment in case u default and a service to its members. Most problems are not the motor "BULLET PROOF" ,, maybe valve cove gaskets ,, Find a shop that's not the over price dealers and your good ,... I bought a very low mileage use one owner car , with a warranty from credit union .... Badm .. a Good /Great deal if u work it right ..

Get an aftermarket warranty.
Just got my car back from the dealer, had given her for brake pads, they found a fuel pump leak.
Cost to fix fuel pump = $1700.00. my cost = $0.00
Follow up note: Dealer called Mercury Insurance (my warranty company) and they approved immediately over the phone, and reimbursed the dealer in 1 day.

an aftermarket warranty is probably a good peace of mind for you spending a considerable amount of money - look for one with a low detectable and that has a positive history with a quick reimbursement.
