I scraped the aluminum looking part of the ring and I sanded it then I sprayed painted flat black and it looks much better . N it blends in more .. It save me $120+ for a cup holder till I chose to change it . But it was a quick nice affordable look..

Mine was replaced under warranty after I brought it in with a laundry list of stuff. Here is my bill:
