C5 LS6 and CLS55
I dont see the point in paying for a warranty if the warranty company doesnt want to pay for anything

Yeah mine was excluded also but they said if they had to warranty it would be capped off at $3000. They don't warranty any AMGs

I'm a 2006 CLS AMG with the P30 as well.

BTW it's a great car and I popped in the fully integrated 2009-2011 Comand center and it gives all of the navigation/traffic/sat/blue tooth/SD/DVD and backup camera that was missing in 2006. It's a tricky process and takes some great people but so worth it. Also added the Piano Black interior trim which makes the car look awesome.

Call Jerry from Eurocharged or other tuners and get the upgraded Heat Exchanger and Pump that goes along way to getting heat out of the charger saving your engine.

Richard
did you happen to do a write up on replacing command unit??

06 CLS55 w/ P030, 05 Jag S Type R, 05 TBird-68 Dodge Charger R/T-440 w/4speed I'm original owner
I just purchased my 2nd extended warranty for my 06 CLS 55 (51k mi) which is a geniune bumper to bumper full exclusionary 5Yr/60k mi coverage which gives me piece of mind until 2022 (15 yrs from 06)!
IT IS NOT CHEAP. Covers everything except for maintenence items with $250 deductible. It is a Fidelity/EasyCare Warranty which covers wear and tear and mechanical breakdown.Very important language.
After lots of shopping, I got it from--

Richard GreensteinMaster Certified Sales Consultant & Warranty Specialist
Fletcher Jones Motorcars, Inc.

As for the P030 issues I have it on my CLS 55.
A must for the AMGs. True, no HP gains. Lots of handling gains from the LSD, 15.2mm front 2 piece rotors and the upgraded tunned suspension. The steering wheel and the 2 piece SL65 rims are icing on the cake including the bragging rights to the 186mph raised limiter including the (Y) rated tires.

For those of us that love the purist design of the 06 CLS, it is a close second to the XKEs ( and some Ps & Fs) and is a keeper car.
