Check engine light - thermostat?
Hey,
Last week I got a check engine light, so I brought my car (2006 CLS 55 AMG) to the dealership to check it out. They told me that it is the thermostat, which was replaced in May of 2012, that is faulty. The dealership replaced thermostat again under warranty. After driving the car for a day, check engine light came on again...Could it be the thermostat again? My oil temperature is around 80, so it is normal. I never noticed it spike high or go low suddenly. The engine sounds fine and there is no loss of performance. Could it be the sensor that is faulty? I'm going to call the dealership and talk to them but did anyone else have the same problem? Thanks!
