Thanks. It would be nice find out exactly what all has been done to this car already....but it seems those people don't care.

It will be a while till I can get started. Do you know anyone running e85? I'd like to know what injector/ECU setup they are using. In my Nissan, I went with 1300cc Injector Dynamics because 740cc Nismo could not supply enough. This appears to have 550cc injectors (based on the the profile signature of the previous builder).

Not sure it's even worth building the bottom end if I keep the tune for pump gas.

LOL!!!!
The stronger 722.649 (SL65 Transmission) is not really able to handle 1.000hp.
Why should this be able at a 722.643!?

I was under the impression that they are mostly the same minus double sided discs that can be added. The rebuilders know what to do, I don't. I just read about it and decided to leave it to the professionals who know what they are doing.

You can build a 722.6 to handle over 1000hp. You don't have to use factory parts if that's what you are implying

Problem with the 722.6 is not necessarily handling the 800+ torque physically, the issue becomes having the TCM shift when you want it too.

Anything above 800whp/TQ starts to throw fits at the 722.6, at least in the srt8.

Well I think I have figured out proper 4" K&N filters to fit directly onto the turbos. I will also order/install Kleeman cams. After that, drive to Los Angeles to have removable pipes for cats/no-cats. LaBree motorsports will be making a custom exhaust. I'm very impressed for what they made for my 300zx twin turbo project. All my piping looks like this (except I have dual tips)

https://schuss.net/?page_id=5917

Then we'll run her on the dyno at SpecialtyZ.

I assume that comment is based on facts? Please send me the links to any before/after dyno results using the super sport cams.

Sir-Sarcastic,

I recommend that you email Claus to voice your concerns about his product. All you have to do is go to the Kleeman website. Unfortunately, I do not feel comfortable posting his email address on the forum.

These forums ????

Schrick makes cams for NA M113, the M113K
Will lose power with these = Down grade.
Even Schrick in Germany send me customers.

Ours are made as an upgrade to M113K, see Dyno.

Med venlig hilsen/Best regards

Hey. I was offering some solid advice to you with nothing for me to gain or lose by whatever you do. If your engine was already removed from the car and being built and the cams were a few hundred $$... By all means , why not. But your application is so far beyond the scope of what was in mind when those cams were designed that any silly little graph you've seen (for marketing purposes only) has exactly zero relevance to your specific car.

If you've seen the specs on those cams and know what the stockers spec out at, and know what a turbo engine wants in contrast to a supercharged engine, they're so close to the originals that it's barely worth the time materials to swap them even if they were free. But I nor anybody here will stop you from lighting your cash on fire so please proceed.

I think the best thing for the OP is to spend $2500 on the cams dyno the car and post results

Finally picked up the CLS55AMG tt conversion and am currently driving cross country. Unfortunately, we fried the tires during MotoGP weekend in Austin, TX. Now have one flat and one bald tire while stuck in Sonora, TX.

Anyway the motor is toast. I think there is more blowby at idle than exhaust coming out the pipes. The body and interior is fantastic. It has Forgiato 20" rims all the way around. Waiting on 305/25-20 Nitto Invo's to arrive at the hotel I'm stuck at.

Would still like to hear from the original owner of this thread regarding the mods & electronics. Did not know it had methanol/water injection. Ice tank in the back, very nice. I was able to get air filters on the car. I believe the turbos are good as they don't have much play and do not hit the housings.

I lol'd at the blow-by at idle comment.

Good luck dude. Awesome looking car.

Just remember before you dive into a rebuild, a 600-700 whp reliable car is 100x's more fun than a sketchy 1000whp car.

While your engine may very well be toast as you say, don't automatically assume so just because there's smoke coming out the tailpipe. Mileage combined with excessive exhaust backpressure may have killed your valve seals, also lack of a properly functioning crankcase evac system will make the best of engines smoke like a chimney.

Do a leakdown test (not compression) to be sure, and don't beat on it while it's burning oil as the oil is going to make it detonate like a ***** which will definitely result in a fragged engine.

Also more fun facts, never pose with your car in any way whatsoever.

Blows the needle off the douche gauge unless you are both beautiful and female, which you are neither

Cool car though, I wish you the best with it and will help you get it in action any way I can.

The car is toast. It burned up on Nov 8th, 2018 during the Camp fire in Paradise California. Words can't express how devastated I am. We haven't been allowed back into Paradise yet but my fire fighter buddy sent me pics of both my cars and my four motorcycles....all toast.
