Thoughts/advice on buying an '08 CLS63.

Hi.

I'm considering buying an 08 CLS 63 with about 25k miles.

It has some after market upgrades: Renntech chip, exhaust and headers.

I dont plan on keeping the car very long, maybe a year. I'll probably drive it less than 5k miles.

What should I look for when buying the car?

What kind of problems or repair costs can I expect?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Yah, a warranty seems to be a common theme.

Anything I should check while test driving/inspecting?

usually a no go for me. Don't want any gremlins that could creep up causing a work place dispute. You know what I mean?

Go to a MB Dealer and get a Pre Purchase Inspection. You'll get a list of items that need repair. Factor that into your offer.

In order to get an extended warranty, any outstanding repair items need to be petform.

I just purchased my 2nd extended warranty for my 06 CLS 55 (51k mi) which is a geniune bumper to bumper full exclusionary 5Yr/60k mi coverage which gives me piece of mind until 2022 (15 yrs from 06)!
IT IS NOT CHEAP. Covers everything except for maintenence items with $250 deductible. It is a Fidelity/EasyCare Warranty which covers wear and tear and mechanical breakdown.Very important language.
After lots of shopping, I got it from--
