Battery Warning Light
Ok, so I got the big red battery warning light that would show so I swapped out batteries and Volts now show 14 instead of 10-12. Only problem is I am still getting the error message that just shows a battery with a red screen. I assume it is not an alternator issues because voltage shows strong and charges. Do I need to reset something?
Car is a 2009 CLS63
Thanks!!!!!

I thought the same thing after I replaced the one in the trunk so I looked under the airbox under the hood on the passenger side next to the firewall and could not locate another battery. Does the 09 CLS63 have 2 batteries for sure?

I contacted my Mercedes Benz Dealer and the tech said that the 09 CLS63 was the only year that did not have an Aux battery which is why it was not located in the engine compartment. Unless someone has any additional info, looks like I have to go in for service as my error is being caused by something in the charging system.

Sounds like your main battery is flat. Your alternator might be buggered. Get a volt meter and measure the volts at the battery when running and not to test if its buggered. You should be almost 2 volts more when the engine is running.

What was the outcome of this? I just bought an 08 that has intermittent charging. Any other car I would have already replaced the alternator or voltage regulator, but I know these cars can be a little wonky about things...
