Looking to get one of these bad boys.

I'm currently in the market for a new car but have grown really attached to my current cls500 2006. It's at the point where I should probably sell it instead of investing more money in it as it will need tires soon and a number of other basic maintenance things. And I've always wanted to increase the performance on the car but it is pretty limited without spending more then just buying the amg counterpart. So here I am. Any suggestions or things to look out for... From watching youtube i've seen a lot of amg abuse so i'm a bit wary buying a used one. In my price range i'd probably looking at the cls55 amg.. I have seen many for around 17k ish area.

Abuse won't hurt them, bad maintenance will. You need an extra 5 in your pocket to keep it up but it's so worth it.

Thanks for the info.. I ended up needing an extra 5 in my pocket for the cls500 so it's good to know the maintenance cost isn't too different. What is a good price point for one of these now? And would you recommend getting one north of 100k miles?

It's all about condition. Mine is north of 100k and you can't have it, if that tells you anything. E55's are basically the same car when it comes to maintenance and mods, you can find the answer to almost anything by searching that forum. Try not to ask too many noob questions, search first.
