CLS 63 AMG Overheating!!!

I have a CLS 63 AMG 2007 model that has been running extremely well. I was punching it at 170km/h when I noticed the car temperature raised to 120° then I halted and allowed the engine to cool off before I top up some coolant then it came back to normal.

But it I noticed that each time I speed over 150km/h or 170km/h my car suddenly overheats. If I drive normal speed of 50km/h or below my car can drive the whole day without getting overheated. Can someone pls advice the possible cause and what solution could be?

Thanks all

Are you consuming coolant? Id be concerned that your headbolts have gone ba(known uncommon issue),causing head gasket issues. Check for "honey dew" under oil cap. Google head gasket leak and see if you can see any signs.

Yes, I’ve been consuming coolant and I will have my mechanic check on the gasket. Thanks

more than likely you have some broken cylinder head bolts and the headgasket is failing because of that..

Scan it with a Star Diagnostic, or do a simple compression leak down test, or watch the coolant reservoir for bubbles.
