What's my car worth? Comments please!!
So, I very much don't want to part with my 08 CLS63, but finances have been rough lately and I just can't keep up. I know I owe more than I can sell it for, but there are so few of these cars it's hard to really put a price on what it will or at least should sell for. I have a few options of what to do, and I'm thinking I may just get a small loan to pay the car down to a price that I can sell it for. Which begs the question, what's it worth, and please leave your opinion good or bad. Below is the ad I posted on CL.
2008 Mercedes Benz CLS63 AMG. 119,000 miles. Arctic White with Cashmere/Savanna Premium interior. Fast, fun and rare, they only build about 600 of these every year world wide. As comfortable and well appointed as you would expect from a Mercedes, but every bit a muscle car able to beat up your neighbor's Mustang at will. This car is in great condition and runs awesome. The paint is bright and shiny with a few small blemishes that you might expect from a 10 year old car, and the interior shows little wear. Everything works, everything's there and it's in all original trim, not modified or molested at all aside from painting the grille and headlights. I recently replaced the front brakes and voltage regulator and gave it an "A" service.
6.3L V8 507hp/465tq 0-60 4.1 seconds, 1/4 mile 12.6 seconds, massive red caliper Brembo brakes (fronts just replaced), 19" wheels, 7 speed automatic with paddle shift and 3 user modes, air ride sport suspension with 3 user modes, Harmon Kardon "Logic 7" stereo with 6 cd changer in the dash and aux input in the glove box, Comand Navigation with updated 2016 maps, Hands-Free Communication System, heated and cooled leather and alcantara seats, leather dash and alcantara headliner, Keyless-Go push button start and keyless entry, 2 working key fobs (1 new), front and rear Parktronic parking sensors, auto wipers, auto climate control, Bi-Xenon self leveling headlights with washers, beautiful burl walnut wood grain trim on dash and steering wheel, sunroof, rear privacy shade, remote opening and closing trunk, P1 & P2 option packages. Over $100,000 when new, as far as I can tell it has every option available except the Distronic cruise system and the extremely rare P30 performance package.

The black headlights and grill look really good on white Check NADA and autotrader, then find a way to make more money so you don't have to sell it.

I believe around $14K... I tried to sell my CLS55 a year ago for $16K with lower mileage (at that time 95K miles, today 99K miles)
I had upgrade 2010+ LED tail light, front CF lip... My opinion is about $14K. I hope you can sell it with better price. Good luck !
I really think W219 is timeless sexy looking car. I decided to keep it for 5 more years... so time to mod ! header, ecu and pulley same as my E55K

06 CLS55 w/ P030, 05 Jag S Type R, 05 TBird-68 Dodge Charger R/T-440 w/4speed I'm original owner
It's a shame they're worth so little especially if one bought it new. It really hurts to flush $100k down the toilet. The alternative is worst. If I continually leased it, at the end of 10 yrs I own nothing. At least I have a CLS 55 to show for.
But one needs to be a high wage earner to afford these exotic toys and let's not forget to mention the high maintence Trophy Wife.
