I finally got it!!! New old 2006 CLS55 AMG IWC
I've been a junior member on this forum since 2005. I don't post often, but certainly use the forums as a resource for issues (thank you all). But I'm too excited to not share this... I've been wanting a CLS55 AMG since it came out in 2006. I finally bought one today.
And to top it off, an IWC version with 71K miles.
Only downside is it no longer has the OEM IWC 19" wheels. So if anyone has them for sale, I certainly am interested and in the market. The seller has 2 that he can offer me (unsure of the condition). The car runs awesome, beautiful in and out with some minor interior cosmetic imperfections.
But over a decade of wanting it, I finally got it.

Welcome to the CLS55 club. They are gorgeous. What a stunning colour you got there. What makes it an IWC besides the rims? Are there interior changes?

The interior leather itself is a special bronze type color. The analog clock says "IWC" and all the dials (speedometer, tachometer, and clock) are black versus white on other 55s.
The rims are a big piece and the downside is the original owner damaged the front two and just swapped out the set.
I'm certainly in the market for a set.

You can get OEM wheels and have them refinished to the color of what they should be. That is your easiest way out. I think they only made 55 of these

Thanks and agreed on the clear side markers! Already have them on the list.
@djrabbi - I thought about this and yes, I agree. My OCD would want the originals though. Ironic enough, I had a set of these on 07/08, that I bought used, before I had the IWC and eventually sold them. Dammit.
