I could be wrong;

but MB always depends on the heat resistance stop power, and the quality of the "Carbon/Iron" or even "Zinc" mixtures,,

for that, not recommend to go with these kind of brakes, especially with high grade & performance vehicles..!

Thanks for replying... Any recommendations ??? I like the cross drilled / slotted rotors, but not a must on my list. However I did want to go with a ceramic pad for dust purposes. I will be getting a custom painted wheel in white to match my paint, and don't want dust to be a issue, especially on white.

Can you confirm, if your Front Rotor is (330x32), and Rear Rotor is (300x22)..?!?

I'm not sure... It's the OEM pads and rotors that comes on the 550.

Yeah, you have (330x32) Fronts & (300x22) Rears,

if you want to go with drilled Rotors, why not put Rotors from 2008 "R230 Sl550", they should fit,,

and if you don't want dust, you can use "Akebono" pads, they're really nice great dust less pads..

NO mods to fit for the rotors? I would like to have the drilled rotors but not very important as long as the rotor is quality. But the pads is very important because I will be going will a white wheel. You say these Akebono pads are better and less dust then ceramic? Do you have any links?

  2. Euro
  3. Performance

*No need to mods., "Sl550" Front Rotors should bolt-on perfectly:-

A) OEM's:

or

B) Zimmermann's:

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-zimmerma...2304210812kt3/

*you can go with "Akebono" ceramic pads:-

A) Fronts:

B) Rears:

According to your VIN#, your Front Rotor is (330x32), same as 2008 "Sl550" Rotors,,

*2008 "R230 Sl550" & *2011 "W219 Cls550" Tech. drawing:-

Only difference I see is the inside hub opening. Mine is 208.5 and the SL is 212... I trust I'm not the first to attempt this...lol I just want to make sure I don't run into any fitment problems... The SL set front and back are drilled right?

Sl550 uses bigger Rear Rotors, but unfortunate; still plain not drilled..!

I bought the Zimmermann rears they had listed for my car along with the euro Akebono rear pads... I needed the rear bad, but I want to get new rotor set screws and new caliper boots> I read it's good to replace those when doing the brakes. I'm still not sure about the SL front rotors... I haven't seen anyone chime in to say they've done it. Basically we're going by numbers, and I'n not saying your wrong, but I'd feel better if this was proven by others that's done it, and it worked... Besides, I'm pondering if I'm gonna do the Brembo upgrade... I'm not sure yet... It would be for looks more then anything. I don't race, I drive the car on the weekends when I'm out and about...lol
