Easiest way to get airplay?

Just curious what others have done to get airplay on their antiquated command screens?

The best thing you can do is buy an android car stereo and use the car play dongle. you can also get the canbus decoder to maintain the factory HK system

Airplay sucks. It has very limited functionality. No video...not many apps.

If you want to get a normal stereo, pioneer or kenwood are typically best. Kenwood has a nice Garmin interface I've used for years. I have a Kenwood DNX996XR with front and rear cameras.

I have an android stereo I was going to use - but the install is quite a bit more intrusive / expensive given the fiber optic piece, and doing without the amplifier which introduces a different expense.

A Bluetooth connection is fabulous and inexpensive, and an ipad mini is great in a pinch - but if you want to do it right, Kenwood and Pioneer work well.
