CLS500 airmatic on CLS55

My Front Left air bag seems to have sprung a leak on my 2005 CLS55 and I need to replace. Coincidentally my local shop just did a coilover swap on a CLS500 and still has a brand new front shock that the owner purchased before deciding on going the coilover route.

I know the AMG airmatic is supposedly stiffer than the non amg but will the unit fit and be useable? Or will it fit and be dangerous to have slightly different stiffness on each front corner? The car is not used for hard driving.

thanks in advance
