New member seeking advise on a cls 55 amg supercharger maintenence.
Hello everybody. I recently bought a cls 55 amg. I need to service the car. When I popped the plastic cover off of the super charger. I could see at least half of the ball bearings were missing out of the super charger. I found the cover off of the bearing laying on the air damn underneath of the car when removing it to get to the oil drain plugs. I searched on ebay and see different prices for what appears to be the right bearing. The numbers on the cover off of mind match the part numbers on the ebay part all exept the 2 letters at the end. It is a nachi part I believe is the name both on my car and on ebay. I don't want to order the wrong part. And also. Could this be causing my charger to get hot and quit working after not using it that much. Then working again after it cools off? Or should I change the inter cooler pump as well? Any advise or part numbers on the bearing or the inter cooler pump would be great. I watched a video and the guy put the new bearing in the freezer for 8 hours and the puller in the oven for like 45 minuetes. Is this all that I need to do and then press it in and put it on and ready to roll? Thanks!!
