failing tranny

Not sure if this is the right place, but I don't have an AMG it's a standard cls-550 07 W219. Seems like my tranny is slipping and pretty much failing at around 90k. Is this signs of service or would I probably need to do a entire tranny overhaul. If I need to do an overhaul what is something like that usually cost and does anyone have any mechanics they can recommend in the Orange County Cali area by chance?

Try searching for Mercedes repairs in your area on the forums to get recommended places. Take the transmission there it needs a mechanic to diagnose it. No fluid can make these things act weird or it might be broken. So its hard to diagnose over the internet without a lot of details about the problem or scan codes..

Thanks for the reply, but I was hoping for more of an informative or educated response other than "google a repair shop". Since the car drives fine and shifts fine most of the time I think it's a minor problem. Essentially it seems like it could be 1 of the 3 possible problems and there isn't a check engine light on. The first being the damage control model if the tranny is leaking and it leaked on the unit. The 2nd which seems to be common for that year make and model is the conductor plate that's $70 for an after market. Or it could be the silinoids in the transmission sending the wrong current.
