Real Life CLS55 AMG Sighting
Hello guys,
Been a long while since I last posted on the lovely mbworld forums. I am back with something new.
I am currently in St. Tropez (South of France) passing a nice vacation and all of a sudden while I was having a walk by the beautiful boats at the seaport I saw a BRAND NEW CLS55 AMG. At first when I saw the images of the CLS55 AMG on the internet I was more like hating it than loving it. But when I saw this BEAUTIFUL car in real life I can tell you all that I changed my mind completely to the point that I am REALLY thinking of ordering one.
It seems to me that the car was there for the official photo shoot by the way.
Enjoy,
P.S. All of the images posted here are originally taken with a resolution of 12 Megapixels. I will put them online later when I return to Geneva.

My stable is still as it is except for a 2004 CL500 which was delivered to me last November. I am really thinking though about adding that beautiful CLS.

2007 ML350 Sport Package
does anyone else see the same lines as in the maybach? (that's not necessarily a bad thing)
yeah I'm not sure about the headlights either
Also it sure looks as though interior space would be much smaller than the e55
still...an eye-catching car...I'd take one

Civic coupe?
I am always amazed by the kind of cars being compared in these forums. I guess I just don't see these resemblances...
Anyway, I am glad I have one on order. I think this car looks very sleek (thinking of Pewter) and yet is a very practical sedan. So far I have heard that the car has a large interior and actually a useful rear area with good headroom. It is larger than the E-class and the interior should be about the same.

Nasharty: do you still have that webpage with all the pictures of your E55? I remember you took many photos of the various options that it came with.

I have one major concern about the CLS...that little window in the rear. I have seen photos of the door open with the big window down and that little panel window is sticking up. Looks terrible and what a clothes catcher or worse that will be. Anyone know if the final will have that window go down or eliminate it all together?

Thanks Nasharty for the great "real world" photos. I think that pushed me into going to the CLS AMG straight from my '01 E55. I like the style of the CLS, only needing a dark tint on the windows (very necessary in Arizona) to give it a very sleek profile.
...quick, cheap photochop to show final idea.
