Wink Sizes of tires for stock rims

Hey all

I was wondering if you guys know what are the recommended or "tolerable" sizes for tires using the existing 16 rim. This is for a non-mod C230K Coupe 2002.
The original tire is 205x55x16 and is a Michellin Energy

TIA

Thumbs up

225/50/16 will work if u want to go wider.
the sidewal is a tiny bit (1mm) smaller.
it will handle much better and most importantly stop MUCH better because of the extra contact area.

depending on the driving u do, i would recommend michelin pilot sport 2, they are great tires for sporty driving
goodyear eagle gs-d3 is also a good tire.
these are both summer tires.

look here, see what u like and what fits u best (driving, price, tread wear)
i would definitely go w/ 225/50/16 because it will make the car safer.
good luck.

depends on the weather
225/50-16 would be the plus zero size to use

Luke, in Tirerack.com recommend also as "Original Equipment Optional" 225/45-17 is this a valid size for stock rims?
