E550 4 Matic
Wheel and tire questions for W212:
Hello,
I have a set of wheels that was used on a C63 and I was wondering if they would fit a 2011 E550 4Matic. The wheels are 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear. The offsets are +40 front and +45 rear. The tires are Continental Sport Contact 3 235/35/19 front and 255/30/19 rear. The Wheels are BBS CH-R.
I know that my vehicle being a 4Matic, Tire Rack recommends 245/35/19 front and rear with a non staggered setup but I have seen several people on this forum used staggered wheels and tires on their W212 Matic vehicle.
I tried calling a few wheel and tires places and I am being told the wheels should be compatible with my vehicle and that I should use 245/35/19 tires in the front and 285/30/19 tires in the rear or 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 in the rear. One place even said I could use 275/30/19 in the rear. I have researched this matter and read information and questions posted by others but I am not sure what the correct tires should be assuming the wheels and offsets will work.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
