Tyre Damage on Recent Mercedes Purchase
Soon after I bought the car (second hand - just over a year old) I noticed that there was a scrape mark on the passenger front wheel rim where I guess it had been curbed.
However just yesterday I noticed that there was also some damage to the tyre above that area (a couple of fine splits and some tearing of the sidewall).
As far as can be seen from the pic does it seem a safety concern? In any case I will take the car to the local Bridgestone Tyre store tomorrow and have the tyre assessed. The car is fitted with Bridgestone Potenzas 050A run flats.
If it needs to be replaced hopefully it will be replaced under warranty as the car was only bought a week ago.
