change to RF tires
new to me SL63 has the 5p Continental tires but they are MO, not MOE. Will changing to the run-flat version severely impair the ride or handling? It is a bit harsh now as it has the 486 suspension as well. But I don't like the idea of traveling around with a can of foam rather than the 50 mile slow drive option.
I am suspecting the SL63 did not have the MOE tires for better ride, but I don't know. Any thoughts?

Michelin Primacy MXM4. You cannot get anything quieter and more comfortable if you run the staggered setup.
