We use our wagon for longer road trips and I hate the idea of having run-flat tires 200 miles away from civilization and probably unavailable anyway requiring the replacement of either 2 or 4 tires on a 4-matic should you have a flat or blowout. A salesman told me that I could order a donut spare for the 2018 wagon as there is still a wheel well in the car which could accept it, even though it is no longer supplied with the car. I looked on the website under build your own car and could not find any reference to being able to purchase a spare tire as an option. Does anybody know anything about this issue?

My brother had run-flats on a BMW and he hates them. They are expensive, they always get ruined beyond repair when you drive on them and are only good to get you 50 miles or so......so they are OK for commuters but not good for expanded driving.
