Winter tires- can MY2019 GLC300 4matic take same tire/wheels as MY2017?

I posted this on X253 page a few days ago but have not received any responses.

Thanks

Winter tires- can MY2019 take same tire/wheels as MY2017? I have a MY 2019 GCL300 4matic with oem size 235/60R18 tires on 8.0x18 wheels. I want to go to 17in wheels for winter. One of TireRack's,recommendations for MY2107 is a package with size 235/65R17 on 17x7.5 wheels. But Tirerack doesn't show 17" (or 18") wheels for their MY2018 packages and has nothing (yet?) for MY2019.

For Blizzak DM-V2, Tirerack shows both tire sizes have the same diameter - 29.1"

Our 2019's have "big" calipers but are they any bigger than on MY2017?
is there any other change since MY2017 that would make 17" wheels not work on MY2019?:

thank you,
PS yes, I don't plan to buy RFT

depends on the weather
the sport package for the 2019 GLC300 4 matic SUV has larger brake calipers and 17" wheels will not clear them

Thanks Luke!

i do not have the sport package, aka AMG braking system.

And happy to say Tirerack does now show 2019 model and options for 17, 18, 19 & 20" packages for the "base model" (But as you indicate - no 17"s for sport package)

17" wheels don't fit cuz caliper silencers added to MY 2019 GLC 4matic

I had called Tirerack to double check that my MY 2019 GLC300 4matic would take 17" wheels for snow tires). Sales guy checked with Technical who said "yes". After I found they didn't fit i sent them a photo like the one here. They replied that they didn't realize that MB had added "silencers" to the calipers. ( I had never heard of a caliper silencer.)

I just finished installing 18" wheels with winter tires. The good news for me is that I live less than 10 miles from the Tirerack location in CT and have a 96 Camry wagon to haul these LARGE tires and wheels back and forth.

I will add the following to a thread on X253 about spare tires:
The good news is that spare tire, part # 164 400 00 02, 18 x 4, with tire size 155 90 18, fits under that floor in the back. I have to push the floor down with a little pressure to the make the latch click. But I am rationalizing that such a tight fit means the tire and wheel won't be moving around.
BUT the bad news is that the spare does NOT fit well on the front axle because of the "caliper silencers". So,, as of now, if I a flat front tire, I will need to move a rear tire to the front and put the spare on the rear. edit I now realize that the brake silencers are part of the pad per photo below. So I may investigate if I can use pads without the silencers. .
