E350 4MATIC Wagon
Winter Wheels for E350 4MATIC Wagon

My first post, so please bear with me. I'm relatively new to this vehicle:

2014, Mercedes E350 4MATIC Wagon.
It is currently running on 18" AMG wheels 18 X 8.5 square setup, ET 48 ( A212 401 3602 )
245 / 40 / 18

I had sourced a set of Mint 17" GLK wheels, 17 X 7.5 , ET 47.5 ( A204 401 5502 ) and mounted a set of Conti Winter Contact SI 225 / 50 / 17's. All numbers work in every tire calculator.
Went to mount them to find out to my horror that they wont fit on the front. Clear the brakes, but not the lower tie rod.

In my subsequent homework, I'm told that a 17" wheel will not fit on this vehicle. I find that hard to believe. I have always downsized "one" for my winter tires. Any help and insight is greatly appreciated.

depends on the weather
17" wheels will fit your E350 but, not all of them as you have discovered. Clearances vary wildly between wheel designs as do offsets and widths which can effect fitment.

here's a link to the 14 different 17" wheels we carry that will fit your wagon

Luke, thanks so much for responding to my request. However, I am looking for insight as to how one is supposed to know what will fit.
I matched the numbers exactly, knowing how critical offset is, matching diameter, revs per mile with regards to the wheel / tire combination etc. What am I missing regarding the wheel?
Clearly a 17 inch Mercedes wheel is not a 17 inch Mercedes wheel in this situation. Matching ET and they don't fit?
Exactly what measurement do I need to know for a correct fit? Is this issue unique to Mercedes?
I have sourced many wheels in my life and this is the first time I have been hooped in my quest. Looking for exacting information.

Is anyone able to provide me with the Mercedes OEM 17" wheels ( part #'s ) that will fit my E350 4MATIC Wagon?

Once bitten, twice shy. Don't want to get burned again.
