Tire Pressure question.. re: tire size
I just upped my CDI from the stock 16" wheels (OEM) to the 17" (OEM) wheels from the E500... the tire went from a 225/55R16 to a 245/45R17...
Do I need to adjust my tire pressure differently? The gas door has a set of numbers, are those still valid?
Also, is there a minus to running slightly higher PSI? I've got 42psi all around..

Your car is a C? That would explain the different tire pressure... I think the E's are 29PSI.. I'm going to bump them down to 35psi, since I prefer a firmer feel.

Quick follow up.... if the sticker says 29psi, and I run say... 35... will that cause pre-mature wear in the middle of the tire, or is that only if the pressure is way higher? I tend to like how it drives when they're firmer, but don't want to do it at the risk of damage to the tires.
