Tire/wheel size change-impact on spedo
Hey all, I have a SLK320 with the sport package that gets you some body moulding and the AMG 17" wheels. The tires that are on there now are F- 225/45-17 and R-245/40-17.
I am going to be getting a snow tire/wheel combination for winter, and had a question.
If I go to the standard SLK320 wheel/tire sizes of 205/55-16 and 225/50-16, will this have an impact on the spedo readings and computer controlled engine management?
I'm pretty much a complete novice when it comes to wheel/tire combos.
Any suggestions as to what to get for winter tires and wheels? I live in the Chicago IL area...so snow is pretty much a certainty.

don't have a clue about the snow tires (in TX) but I think you're ok with the speedo issue, the actual diameter of the tire will be almost identical.
