yet another spacer question

I've read through the forum and can't seem to answer what I hope is a simple question.

I've got a set of steel 15" rims with blizzak tires that I picked up on eBay for my 1985 300D. They fit fine on the back, but the front ones are so close to the steering arm that edge of the rim is rubbing slightly.

I was intending to add wheel spacers, it seems like all I need is 3-5mm, but I see on this forum that such thin ones can't be hub-centric and you shouldn't mount non hub-centric spacers.

Any suggestions as to the best way to proceed here?
