Will 19 x 9.5 inch Lorinzer Replicas fit??
I'm brand new to the forum. I stumbled onto it while searching for some wheels. And boy, was I soo happy to find this site, and I read the threads!! The people seem really cool. No haters? Anyway, I'm sure most of you have seen the Lorinzer LM5 Replicas on Ebay. I want to get the staggered set. 19 x 8.5 front, and 19 x 9.5 rear for my 98 C230. I have several questions.
- It says the offest for these wheels are 38mm. But I thought 35mm was the correct offset?
- Will the 19 x 9.5 fit in the rear? And if so, what modifications must be done.
- What is the best tires size, for front and rear....
...When I had my 96 e-class I had 19 x 8.5 245/35/19 front, and 19 x 10 275/30/19. But I'm sure the C class has a slightly smaller wheel well. Hence, smaller tires must be used.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

this setup will work and look diezel!
wheels should fit ,a couple of mm on the offset won't hurt. you will definitely go thinner on the tires, maybe a 235 front or 265 rear or evne thinner then that.

I can almost guarantee that an 19x8.5" rim with ET38 will NOT fit on front. Since it's an 8.5" rim, at least a 225 wide (preferably 235) wide tire will be used. Even a round-sided tire will still be too big and too far in, and hit the upper ball joint retaining nut, or come in contact with the steering knuckle.
In contrast, ET35 seems to fit fine with most tires. ET30 usually works with a 245 tire on a CLK, too, as long as one watches the tire diameter.
