running 17's on clk 320 my spare is 16 is this a problem?

How much do the 17" and 16" tires vary in diameter?.If there's less than 1/4" difference,there should be no problem.Any more,and I would be sure to use the spare on the front only.If you have a rear tire go flat,play musical tires until the spare is on the front and two original tires on the rear axle.
Sound like a lot of work?.It's a minor pain,but better than what you'll do to the differential if the tires don't have the same diameter on the rear and you go flying down the road.
BTW-if you hurt the diff this way,warranty won't cover it.Take care to use the proper wheel-bolt length-I'll bet your 17's use a longer bolt than the 16" spare does.
