*** FEELER *** Raffle 20" Vossen CV1

For some time i've been thinking on raffling the set of VOSSEN CV1, how many people would be interested in doing this???

Here are the specs of the wheels and information in regards the raffle
USED!!! Vossen CV1 graphite matte face and gloss graphite lip
Wheels are in great conditions, they came off an 09 E Class, front 20x9 ET 32 and rear 20x10.5 ET 42
I was thinking (this are the options depending on the amount of members)
All transactions made through paypal to be safe, more details later on.
18 tickets at $100 each
35 tickets at $50 each
70 tickets at $25 each
You can get as many tickets as you wish
Winner pays for shipping $165
Raffle would be videotaped from beginning to end, showing the name of all the members entered and put in the box, no cuts no scams, no preference, winner would be announced on the video on the day set for the raffle, any member that enters need to pay prior to the day set if not it would delay the day of the raffle, once all the contestants pay the raffle would be set.

Thought this would be fun and different so what do you guys think??

ill add detailed pics on the weekend

1800 seems high unless you are including tires - i was quoted $400 a wheel/$2k with tires here locally a few weeks back

but i get it - $25 could get you a set of wheels - GL - i'd prob be down to throw away $25 - HA

Why would they stop it, I'm not promoting nothing,I'm seekinga used item, I'm doing just a sell, but if they feel it violates anything then Ok lol

I have a great imagination I can come up with some wicked ideas lol

This is a stupid idea for the fact that...

Say the OP is looking for $2,000 for his wheel set...

If he already has 20 people with $100 worth of tickets... he has his target $2,000 that he wanted to get for the wheels...

Then one guy could easily come in and say, "I'll give you $1,000 if you make me the winner".

How would all the other people feel? The OP now essentially sold his wheels for $3,000.

This is just not an ideal thing to do over the internet.

Before you claim is a stupid idea, you should read carefully the original thread, first of there is a number set, second I have a really good reputation and better that what you have earned by posting you remark, third it was stated that the raffle would be recorded from beginning to end no cuts and showing all the participants name so no cheating is called, and no offers are accepted after nor prior the raffle. So please keep your comments to your self bc now we know you would be capable of a scam.

Ps: don't hate bc it was definitely a cool idea and something new.

Well I think the idea is very smart, unfortunately you would need a license to legally run a raffle and doing so without one is a state / federal offense (IIRC).

The idea is very smart for the seller, but a terrible thing for the people showing interest. All of the internet forums I've been on have strictly prohibited this.
