Live in Poland?
I spent a week in Poland last year and had a chance to try the first 3 beers. They were decent, but not all that memorable--but always fun to try new brews. A couple of my favorites: Sam Smith Nut Brown Ale Yuengling Lager Newcastle Brown Ale A bunch of different Hefeweizens |

Basicly my new favorite brew is the 312 Urban Wheat Ale, it’s from Goose Island. I also love Fat Tire and Two Hearted Ale. Those are on the top of my list. You can find them at Whole Food's and Trader Joe's. |
im not too picky, i just love me some beer

Hard to pick my favorites really since it depends on what mood I am in. But I do like a lot of Belgium beers like Chimay. For types of beer, I really like IPAs and double bocks.
Part of the fun of liking beer is trying new ones. I'm always on the lookout for something I haven't tried in the past. I also make my own beer which is very satisfying. In fact, I've got a case of homemade IPA and about a case and a half of homemade winter larger in my refrigerator. |

Hey rev, try the Blue labled Grand reserved. OUTSTANDING, IMHO.

Over the holidays I tried Brooklyn Black Ops stout, it is pricy and hard to find, but it is worth the trouble.

I don't seek the obscure, I'm happy with Stella Artois and Grolsch. As for American brews, don't discount the fine offerings from the Sierra Nevada brewery, they're every bit as good as their European counterparts.

I always go with a microbrew if I can, otherwise Sierra Nevada, any Sam Adams, Stone IPA, Fat Tire. The 2.99 beer at trader joes 'simpler times' is cheap and strong, so that's always nice to stock up on... for guest. ;)

I would drink most beers but have a few favorites:
Becks Vier Carlsberg Tyskie Zywiec |
...I've tried a lot of different beers(and micro brews).....I'm a pretty simple guy...my go to beer is Amstel Light..I have one in my hand as I'm typing...:cheers:

My everday beer is Sierra Nevada Pale, the more I drink it the more I like it!
For more of a special occasion beer, it's hard to beat Avery Brewery's Reverand, it's a quadrupal belgian, give it a shot if you can get a hold of some. When traveling, I always sample the local favorites sometimes I find something great! FYI- if you visit Alaska go ahead and try the AK Amber or whatever, every tourist place/bar is pushing it, but it's not very good. Look for Glacier Brewhouse or Mooses Tooth! Cheers! |
My Top 5
Interesting to find beer thread on an MB site! Love it! I am in Hop Heaven of California, so I am spoiled. But I'll list some that are attainable in other parts of the us as well;
HOPS 1) Gotta go with Russian River Pliny the Elder 2) A lesser known and new beer that surprises hop heads is Torpedo from Sierra Nevada. (I can't stand their Pale BTW) 3) 3 Floyds Dreadnaught 4) Ballast Point Sculpin 5) Bell's Hopslam Sweeter Beers 1) Hoppin' Frog's BORIS the Crusher. 2) Founder's Kentucky Breakfast 3) Goose Island Bourbon County Stout 4) Hair of the Dog Adam 5) De Dolle Stille Nacht If you love beer and haven't had or heard of any of these, find them and you will be impressed! |
