Helpful tools, T-10 Star Driver and a "handy removal tool" (red tool top right) from Ebay. I just wedged the tool on the bottom of the front side of the mirror to pry it back a little. Then wiggle and pull straight up! Make sure to adjust the mirror to line up with the inside housing and it's not encroaching onto the outer part of the cover that your'e removing.
