A Legacy Reimagined

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, renowned for its off-road prowess, has evolved over the years to cater to a more upscale market. However, for enthusiasts yearning for the rugged charm of the original model, Arcade Cars introduces the Sojourn. This restomod bridges the gap between tradition and modern innovation, bringing the iconic Gelandewagen into the 21st century.

Versatile Drivetrains

The Sojourn offers both traditional and modern powertrain options. Customers can choose between retaining the original 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering 126 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque, or upgrading to a 2.8-liter engine with 149 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. For those inclined towards sustainability, a fully electric drivetrain developed by Everrati is also available, though specific performance details remain under wraps.

Blending Ruggedness with Luxury

While the Sojourn maintains the G-Class's iconic boxy design, it incorporates contemporary features to enhance both aesthetics and functionality. Standard xenon lights or optional LED headlights, a variety of wheel choices, and a front bush guard with protective grilles are some of the exterior upgrades. Additional options include roof- or grille-mounted spotlights for improved night-time visibility during off-road adventures.

Modern Interior Comforts

Inside, the Sojourn's cabin is a blend of classic and modern elements, offering six- or eight-seater configurations with hand-stitched leather upholstery. Customers can select from various seat and steering wheel designs, and the vehicle comes equipped with a modern infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A retro-inspired Bluetooth system, subwoofer, and premium speakers ensure a high-quality audio experience.

Rigorous Restoration

Arcade Cars takes pride in its meticulous restoration process. The base vehicles, sourced from ex-Swiss Army stock, undergo thorough inspections and restorations to meet high standards. CEO Rishav Kanoria emphasizes the importance of attention to detail, ensuring that each Sojourn is both mechanically sound and aesthetically pleasing. Customers can choose from an extensive palette of colors, with signature options like Desert Tan and Matte Black.

Bespoke Customization

The Sojourn is highly customizable, allowing clients to personalize both the exterior and interior to their tastes. Options range from unique paint colors to bespoke leather trims. The vehicle is available exclusively as a two-door soft-top, adding a touch of exclusivity to its rugged appeal.

Debut at Pebble Beach

Priced starting at $130,000, the Sojourn positions itself as a high-end alternative to a new G-Class. Its official debut at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours in August is expected to attract significant attention from collectors and enthusiasts alike.
