2013 G-Class Splashes into the Limelight
Externally, the G-Wagen is far and away the most raw looking Mercedes there is. It’s easily their oldest model, had has remained in production for a whopping 32 years, with minor adjustments to the exterior. That doesn’t mean this is the same old, same old though. 2013 brings a slew of new updates to bring the G-Class to the cutting edge, just as they’ve always done.

Both the G550 and G63 AMG are making a return to the US. Unfortunately, the weapons-grade G65 AMG will not be making the trip across the pond, and neither will the diesel model. American’s will just have to make due with the 388 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque from the G550. Power fiends can upgrade to the G63, where they’ll be treated to 544 twin-turbo, V8 horsepower.

On the outside, the most dramatic change is a strip LED running lights beneath the headlamps.
It’s a modernizing touch, although the G hardly needs any more help standing out. Hit the gallery below for some more photos.
