2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe Leaked Two Days Ahead of Schedule

Honestly, what’s a new automobile launch without a proper leak these days? It happens so frequently, a good leak almost seems like part of the marketing plan.

This particular leak, which shows off the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 S Coupe in almost all of her glory — save for some guy’s black shirt covering up a couple of juicy bits and pieces — comes to us care of Zero2Turbo, who published two photos of the new Coupe that were apparently taken during a presentation, which was possibly titled, “Welcome to Awesomeville”.

Regardless of how these photos came to us, we’re definitely excited about what we see. Can you say AMG GT Junior? Just look at those flowing lines, that swooping style, those flared rear fenders! It’s decidedly more aggressive than the sedan. Probably the only people who aren’t excited about finally seeing this beauty are the makers of the BMW M4.

Though the looks are definitively different, the new C63 Coupe will feature the same 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 found in the sedan and the AMG GT sportscar. The standard AMG coupe will likely put out 475 horsepower, while the S, pictured here, should put out 510 galloping steeds.

Of course, no leak can even begin to show off the car as well as the official debut. So we’ll have to wait two days for the official online debut and all of the professional, high-res, glossy photos that MB pays so much money for. And then we’ll have to wait until September for the actual debut at the Frankfurt show. All this exposure may or not be part of the official marketing plan, but it doesn’t matter, when you’re talking about a car this hot, any publicity is good publicity.
