Ah, yes. The C63 AMG Black Series. Mercedes’ ultimate C-Class. More than any other brand, Mercedes has positioned itself as luxury. Their designs are smooth, classy, understated. Even the AMG models tend to be rather reserved. But the Black Series? No. The C63 AMG Black Series is what the C-Class sees when it looks into a mirror after dropping acid.

Those huge fender flares, hood louvres, and outsized wing aren’t just there to make the Black Series look like the fun-house mirror version of the C-Class either. Their purpose is to make the otherwise tame coupe compete with monsters. Porsche’s GT3 is a 9000 rpm track assassin. The V12 Vantage S is Aston Martin’s most ridiculous engine in their smallest packaging. These cars are just as radical as Merc is.
